Wild About Birds carries a variety of seeds for the wild birds in your backyard. Our bird seed is always fresh - about 4,000 lbs is delivered every week!

The most popular seeds are black oil sunflower and our exclusive Backyard Bird Mix. Most of the birds visiting our backyards prefer the black oil sunflower seed because it is thinner shelled and has higher oil content. Backyard Bird Mix contains black oil and striped sunflower seed, sunflower chips, peanuts and white millet. The ground feeders prefer the millet that is scratched out of the feeder as birds eat the sunflower, safflower and peanuts. Backyard Bird Mix is economical to use because it contains no filler seed.

Our Cardinal Mix contains 50% sunflower seed and 50% safflower seed. Shell Free Mix contains hulled sunflower seeds, hulled millet and peanut pieces. This mix doesn't leave a mess of shells on the ground nor will it sprout!

Don't forget suet for the woodpeckers! We carry many "flavors" and sizes - traditional small cakes, large 3 lb cakes, suet balls, and suet log refill plugs. We even have hot pepper suet to keep the squirrels and raccoons off the suet feeders!

Establishing different feeding stations is the best possible way to attract the widest variety of wild birds. Wild About Birds carries a great selection of bird feeders including wood feeders, tube type feeders, and tray feeders. We carry peanut feeders and suet baskets for woodpeckers. We also have specialty feeders for bluebirds, hummingbirds and orioles.

There are several cavity-nesting birds that visit our backyards. Chickadees, titmice, wrens, nuthatches, bluebirds and woodpeckers will often use man-made nesting boxes. Wild About Birds carries a large selection of birdhouses including many decorative and whimsical boxes that are also fully functional! We also have boxes for owls and roosting boxes for bats.

All wildlife, including birds, needs water. Wild About Birds stocks a variety of birdbaths and water features. We have drippers, misters and a bubbling waterfall rock that can be used in any birdbath with at least one-inch of water. For the winter we carry birdbath deicers and several different heated birdbaths
